It was at 1am the other night, (one of many nights that consist of me waking up at 1 with no desire to to go back to bed) when I decided to design a collection of purely Penelope Cruz memes. As I shuffled around on my i-pad, pinning and hearting pictures, Cruz came up on the screen. I noticed how dynamic her facial expressions are. She would look like a glamorous goddess and then suddenly a mascara smudged manic depressive in the next shot. She can project the image of a cocaine vixen, a mad woman, a vibrant clownish comedienne, a sassy Spaniard and a tough as nails cowgirl. Her expression seems to illustrate every bit of feeling she wants it to; it’s enough to inspire any viewer’s imagination, including my own. Hence, I stayed up, wide-eyed, making memes.
